VisiTyreTM works with all Replacement Tyres

_____________________________________________

A vehicle's tyres will be replaced at least once during the vehicle's life time.

In the US, Public Citizen, the Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA) and the Tire Industry Association (TIA) [1] all report that Radio Frequency based TPMS do not work with all replacement tyres.

Some replacement tyres have a carbon or ferrous content or type of steel belted construction that acts like a "Faraday Cage" [2] to shield and attenuate the radio frequency signals of battery powered TPMS sensor modules:

Unlike the Radio Frequency TPMS, VisiTyre is transparent to all OEM and future replacement tyres.

In addition, VisiTyre is also completely transparent to tyre rotation and does not require any recalibration, reset function or any "Learn Tools".

This provides certainty to OEMs, Dearlerships, Tyre Fitters [3] and vehicle owners that no tyre or style will prevent VisiTyre Batteryless TPMS from immediately reporting abnormal tyre pressures after standard tyre fitting procedures.

Notes:

[1.]      Public Citizen is a US Consumer Advocacy Group who have Petitioned US DOT NHTSA on the Replacement Tyre Issue.

[2.]      A Faraday cage or Faraday shield is an enclosure formed by conducting material, or by a mesh of such material. Such an enclosure prevents an electrical field from escaping or entering. Faraday cages are named after physicist Michael Faraday, who built one circa 1836.

[3.]      During tyre removal and replacement procedures at the Tyre Fitter Workshop Battery powered RF TPMS Wheel Modules can damage the tyre's bead and are themselves subject to damage.
