ETV's Research and Development Facility in Sydney
The company was established in 1999 to focus solely on the research and development of battery-less tyre pressure monitoring systems ‘TPMS’, for the global automotive original equipment market. VisiTyre Automotive PL is a wholly owned subsidiary of ETV and is concerned with the commercialization of the Intellectual Property developed by ETV.
The Directors of ETV and VisiTyre Automotive have a professional background in Electronics Engineering and the production, supply and sale of Automotive products in Australia, for over 20 years prior to the incorporation of ETV.
The ‘business case’ for TPMS became a serious commercial opportunity in 2000, with the decision by the US Senate to mandate compulsory TPMS for passenger vehicle safety under the TREAD Act 2001. Presently, in the European Union similar TPMS legislation is being implemented with the specific intent of reducing motor vehicle CO2 and green house gas emissions.
The company is supported by professional business development and financial planning executives with international experience, all of whom have a financial interest in the commercialisation of
VisiTyre, ETV’s TPMS solution for passenger vehicles and for Fleet Management of light Vans and Trucks under 10000 Lb.
